RaidingThese are the notes from the kin and officer meeting from Sunday 7/11.We discussed several things during the kin meeting.. mostly about raids. There was discussion that if someone is wanting to go on the raid scheduled that they should be flipped to the toon they want to take or the toon that they are going to grab loot on. Also there will be no dropping raid to turn in quest etc. During the raid there will be no afks that aren't scheduled. If you need to go afk then send the raid leader a tell and we will take a group afk. All these measures are there to help move the raids along quicker then we have been going.More RaidingAnother topic discussed during the meeting was thinking bout loot before declaring you want something. The example that was used was the black pearl being taken by a non tanking class that has better items out there if there was a tanking class in the raid that could use it. Basically think bout your kinmates before trying to grab everything for yourself. Having a stronger kin mate also helps you out in the process making the next runs smoother then prior runs. We also talked bout raid times. We are going to try and move some of the raid times to 9pm est, instead of having all of them scheduled at 10pm est. This will be especially true of raids during the week. We are going to start using sign ups for some of the lower raids to try that system out, so keep looking at the forums for the sign ups for certain raids. If that system works well then we will move to do it in other raids. RecruitingDuring the officer meeting we are going to change recruiting a bit. Right now we are closed recruiting except of friends of kinmates. The change though is that new recruits are going to stay recruit for a month. During this month the new recruit can run DN/Watcher runs with the kin and earn dkp in those raids. After the month is up then the officers will discuss promoting the recruit to member status. This means that if they fit into the kin they can stay but if not then they are going to politely be told they are not a fit and good luck.
There are several changes we have made to our raiding and recruiting system from last officer meeting
Raiding
To grab loot out of the raids now all you need is to have the lvl requirement for the armour. This means that there is no longer a rad requirement in order to get loot in the different instances. For example if you have a lvl 60 that has 0 rad they can come into DN or Watcher and get loot.
The BG raids are going to have a stricter policy on going to the raids other then just a rad requirement. We are going to be looking at play style, rad, traits, jewelry and weapons before the raid. For the members that we don't' feel are able to come into BG there is Watcher and DN runs that you can run and get better at. We are also going to be assigning you a class lead for your class to help you with getting better at playing your class with our raids.
Recruiting
We are closing recruiting for the time being. We have had a nice fluctuation of people joining kin lately and we want to work to get them better. The closed recruiting will be evaluated on a weekly basis and is not restricted to friends or family to kin members that would want to join kin.
New recruits are now going to be left in recruit status in kin for two weeks in order for us to get to know them better. During this period BG is not allowed for the new recruit but DN and Watcher is allowed. After the two week period they will be open to come into BG raids if they have met the above requirements.
